SPAS, TREATMENT CENTRES AND WELLNESS CENTRES
We help spas, treatment centres and wellness centres to transform their approach to their clients through the introduction of living plants into the treatment environment. We’re delighted to have designed and installed the planting at La Chambre Verte where we transformed a modern hotel room into an immersive, biophilic, spa experience – filled with lush planting to promote natural health benefits.
Biophilic design
Biophilic design incorporates nature and natural elements into the modern built environment. True biophilic design integrates many elements, such as daylight, natural forms and finishes, acoustics, air quality, and introducing living plants is a vital element.
The many psychological and physical benefits of biophilic design are now more important than ever. After the recent lockdown periods when so many of us have been confined to our homes, many wellbeing issues – particularly mental health – have become much bigger and more widely known issues. Introducing planting and biophilic design principles into the design of your spa, treatment centre or wellness centre can have significant benefits affecting stress reduction and improved happiness and wellbeing.
Connection with nature
A relaxing spa, a therapeutic treatment, or a wellness programme to top up your clients’ vitality are all transformed into so much more when living plants become part of the environment. Contact with nature helps to improve your clients’ mood, it promotes serenity and peacefulness, and it creates a calm and sensory setting.
Plant species are chosen for their ability to thrive in your space as well as to help clean the air, increase oxygen and humidity and provide a healthy feeling of calm and restfulness. Lush clusters of hanging, exotic plants purify the air and boost the immune system.
Creative ideas
Biophilic design is more than just popping a pot plant in the corner of a treatment room. We’re experts in biophilic design, we know exactly what works and what doesn’t, and we’re bursting with ideas to help you improve your therapy space and to stimulate your clients’ senses.

Natural environments
Treatment rooms are traditionally white and sanitary; while tradition is a good thing, those kinds of sterile environments can create unwanted stress with clients, even going as far as ‘white coat syndrome’. The modern trend is to balance that time-honoured design with nature, providing a calm, reassuring and serene atmosphere.
Maintenance
As much as we love designing beautiful plant and floral displays, we know not everyone has fingers as green as ours, that’s why we offer a wide range of maintenance plans. All delivered to the highest standards, so your plants and flowers stay as healthy and vibrant as the day they arrived.
