The Living Table: Recharge In Nature Without Leaving The Office
Date Posted: May 2, 2023

In today’s fast-paced world, it’s more important than ever to take a break and recharge. But for many of us, our workplaces are devoid of places to do so.

Without access to a break out space, it’s easy to become overwhelmed, stressed, and burned out. And, when that happens, it’s hard to be productive or creative.

We might have just the solution to this problem. Introducing the Living Table.

The Story of The Living Table

The Living Table was created as the result of a happy accident.

We first introduced this style of table as part of our stand at an exhibition and had only really assembled it as a place we could display our brochures and chat to visitors. As the two-day exhibition progressed, we realised we were being asked more questions about what is now known as The Living Table – than the products we were exhibiting!

One of the key takeaways from these conversations was that many felt it would serve as an idea break-out spot in an office setting. Due to it’s bar-like height, the table encourages conversation as well as providing an interesting focal point in the office.

The Benefits

Break out spaces, especially those infused with nature, offer many benefits to businesses. Here are a few of the most important ones:

  1. Improved team collaboration – Breakout spaces allow employees from different teams and departments to stay connected, brainstorm ideas, and collaborate on projects without having to move to one another’s workstations. This can help foster and nurture stronger relationships between employees.
  2. Boosted creativity – Taking the time to relax and unwind in a designated break out space can help fuel creativity, new ideas, and innovative solutions.
  3. Increased productivity – Break out spaces give employees an outlet to clear their minds and refresh themselves during the day. This can increase productivity during the day and lead to better overall performance.
  4. Improved employee wellbeing – Employees who take regular breaks and disconnect from their desks are more likely to be happier and healthier. This can lead to improved morale and decreased stress levels in the workplace.

Design Possibilities

Does your workplace lack informal break-out spaces, or a place to spend 5 or 10 minutes catching up with colleagues and sharing ideas?

The table shown in the post is just one example of the type of Living Table we can create for your workspace. We have a wide variety of gorgeous planters in various sizes to choose from and an even bigger selection of plants to fill them with.

Living Tables are available to rent or purchase from us, and we will take care of your plant to ensure it remains looking as healthy as the day it was installed.
